Visiting Us?

If you’re visiting us there’s just a few things you’ll need to know before you come.

Dress Advice

Like most private members’ clubs we have a dress code to ensure we retain the ambience and traditions of our surroundings, though in true Liberal fashion we have tried to make these as light as possible!

We take a ‘Dress Advice’ approach, which gives Members and visitors alike a guide on what is ideal, what passes, and what is a definite no-no. The NLC Dress Advice Style Guide gives an overview of what to consider in your attire when visiting the Club.

Club Rules

Similarly, we have some standard Club rules designed to make sure everyone enjoys their time with us. Here are the most important Club rules you’ll need to know.

Bags and coats – We ask Members and their guests not to take outdoor clothing, bags and cases (other than small document cases and handbags) into the Club rooms. Coats may be left in the cloakroom on the ground floor while bags and cases may be left at the reception desk.

Taking Photos – While we are more than happy for you to take photographs, these should be discreet and in a location where they will not disturb anyone else. Please do not include other Members or guests in any photographs without their consent.

Access for children – Children under the age of 14 are not allowed into the Clubhouse without express permission. During August, you are allowed to bring children between the ages of 8 and 14 into the Clubhouse and do not need permission.

Reciprocal Club
Visitors

If you’re visiting us from a Reciprocal Club you will need to show your membership card and letter of introduction to our Front House Team when you arrive. Please be advised that your number of visits to the NLC may be limited based on any agreed reciprocity arrangements.
