Dr Michael C. McDonagh

After nearly 40 years’ service in HM Armed Forces (Corps of Royal Engineers) and the Metropolitan Police, I moved from New Scotland Yard as a Counter Terrorism Commander to a multinational financial institution as their Global Head of Protective Security and Intelligence.

I went on to become Managing Director of a bespoke risk, security and crisis management advisory consultancy, working with global organisations in a wide range of sectors including Formula One, cultural, media, sporting, governmental and Third Sector.

In my spare time I am an avid reader, keen skier and hill walker and have recently become a member of the NLC Shooting Club and the Defence and Security Circle, both of which I am finding interesting and stimulating. (Dr McDonagh joined the Club in 2019 and was elected to Gen Cttee in 2020)
