Guest Speaker – Robert Orchard, who will speak about two of the most dramatic stories he covered during his time as a BBC political correspondent: the IRA’s audacious attempt to blow up the Prime Minister and the Cabinet in the Brighton Bomb at the Tory conference in October 1984, and the dramatic fall from power of Mrs Thatcher six years later at the hands of her own Conservative MPs.
