Theatre and Arts Circle – Film Showing: La Fille du Regiment

Laurent Pelly’s surreal production of Donizetti’s comic opera recorded at the Royal Opera House includes a considerable amount of men’s underwear, ironing, cross-dressing  servant’s and a chorus of decrepit aristocrats. Starring Natalie Dessay, Juan Diego Florez, Alessandro Corbelli, Felicity Palmer and Dawn French.
