The history of Clubland: thinking about clubs in a different way

The NLC’s Librarian Dr Seth Thévoz launches a major new book, Behind Closed Doors: The Secret Life of London Private Members’ Clubs, with this lecture challenging many of the preconceptions around clubs; particularly around neglected members over the centuries, including women, LGBTQ+, ethnic and religious minorities, as a major thread running through London’s Clubland history.
