Truman Capote and his swans – the making of a non-fiction novel

This online Zoom event will be the first in a series of Author Speaker Forums, where invited guest authors will talk about their writing and LGBTQ+ literature in general.

The first of these will be with American writer Kelleigh Greenberg-Jephcott in conversation with Dr Chris Jordan.

Her acclaimed novel Swan Song details the life of Truman Capote, one of the postwar era’s leading American writers, and his ‘swans’, the glamorous socialites whose secrets he ruthlessly betrayed. Swan Song won the 2015 Bridport Prize Peggy Chapman-Andrews Award, the McKitterick Prize, the Sunday Times paperback of the year and was longlisted for the 2019 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
