Cabaret Evening: ‘Behind the Scenes’ -FULLY BOOKED

Olivier Award winning, West End leading lady Lorna Want and West End Musical director Chris Hatt take us on a journey through some of musical theatre’s finest songs, from shows including Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Les Mis, Evita and Parade and with some contemporary favourites along the way.

With a personal story behind each one, it’s sure to be an unforgettable evening… Lorna Want won an Olivier Award for her portrayal of Cynthia Weil in Beautiful – The Carol King Musical. She also performed as Luisa in The Fantasticks, Laura in Dreamboats and Petticoats, Mistress in Evita, Ariel in Footloose, Monteen in Parade and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet the musical. She has acted in numerous TV programmes including Holby City, Doctors and Casualty.

Chris has been the Associate Musical Director of Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s award-winning hip-hop musical about America’s founding fathers, since it opened in 2017. For 11 years he was the Music Director of Billy Elliot the Musical and subsequent productions in New York, Chicago and The Netherlands. He tutored the 3 Tony award-winning boys who went on to play the part of Billy on Broadway. Chris has also been the Musical Director on such popular productions such as Guys and Dolls, Chaplin – the Musical , Mack & Mabel, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Footloose – The Musical, Joseph, Aspects of Love, Scrooge, A Slice of Saturday Night, Little Shop of Horrors, Crazy For You, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof and Godspell, as well as various pantomimes and revue shows.

Lorna and Chris will be joined by a further singer for the evening, so expect some duetting as well!
