Founded in 1844 with the aim of contributing to the intellectual, moral & economic progress of the island of Gran Canaria. Gabinete Literario is a listed building located next to the old historic quarter of Vegueta where the city was founded in the 15th century. It has one of the largest art collections in the Canary Islands and its library houses important 19th & 20th century bibliographical collections. Closed on Mondays.
