Congratulations Sarah Green MP on winning Chesham & Amersham By-Election
On Thursday 17 May, NLC regular and the facilitator at our 2020 NLC AwayDay, Sarah Green achieved a stunning swing and turned a 16,000 conservative majority into an 8,000 Liberal Democrat win.
Sarah was supported by many NLC Members who went campaigning, and also by a £3,000 donation from the NLC’s Orpington Circle which collects voluntary donations to be used in by-elections, founded as it was in memory of Eric Lubbock’s Orpington by-election which marked the start of the revival of Liberal political fortunes in the 1960s.
As is traditional, Sarah will be offered a year’s Honorary Membership of the NLC so she can come to the Club as a Member and not just as a Guest, and we hope to see her in the Club very soon.

We are proud to have helped her campaign, and are sure she will make a magnificent Member of Parliament.
